Warboys Community Association

Warboys Community Association

Warboys Community Association was first set up in 2001 and is an affiliation of community groups based in Warboys. We currently have in the region of 30 affiliated groups.

Meetings:  We normally meet in the Parish Centre four times a year in January, March, June, and October.

What do we do?
We aim to:

Bring together local groups and organisations for mutual support and the exchange of information
Create a sense of community by organising at least one annual village event such as a May Day event and also coordinating a programme of Feast Week activities
Provide a forum to discuss issues that affect affiliated groups and the wider community
Keep the community informed about what is going on by publishing Warboys Diary every two months
Help affiliated groups with specific projects by awarding small grants

Where do we get our money from?
We raise money by:

Applying an annual affiliation fee
Selling advertising space in Warboys Diary
Holding community events
Periodically applying for grants

Who can belong to the Association?

Any non-commercial/not for profit organisation, group or charity based within Warboys and the surrounding area can become an affiliated member for an annual fee of £15. We also invite a small number of local businesses to join the Association
