From the photo collection of Joan Cole
Photo taken around 1900 of children outside the Endowed School, (sometimes called the Church School) on Warboys High Street.
The photo is believed to have been taken by and/or published by Joseph Gabbitas who was a Druggist/Chemist and lived in Warboys. He is believed to have been born in Derbyshire around 1860 and died in St.Ives in 1923. The censuses showed he was in Warboys in 1911 and 1901. He was not found under this name in 1891 anywhere so far. In the 1881 census he was a Chemist Assistant in Swanwick, Derbyshire.
