Newman’s Store – Friends of Warboys Library

Photo believed to have been taken about 1904, the man in the white apron is Benjamin Harvey who it is believed also built the post office in nearby Chatteris – can anyone confirm this? This store later became Newman’s Store.

Newmans Store in the High Street, Warboys, in 1987.

When A.W.Newman purchased the store in 1947 this picture shows the size of the site purchased.

The old bake house to the left side behind Newman’s stores. the bakehouse was little used in the years before Newman’s closed.
