Warboys Parish Church c1900
The Church of St Mary Magdalene, Warboys about the late 1800s/early 1900s.

We are not sure of the date of this photo, do you have any ideas? It was possibly taken during the late 1800's. We know it is before 1920 as the floor has not been raised and as the postmark on the postcard was 1905 and certain features of the postcard design were only allowed after 1902 we know the postcard was published between 1902 and 1905. The query now is when was the photo taken that was put on the front of the postcard.

The photo is believed to have been taken by and/or published by Joseph Gabbitas who was a Druggist/Chemist and lived in Warboys. He is believed to have been born in Derbyshire around 1860 and died in St.Ives in 1923. The censuses showed he was in Warboys in 1911 and 1901. He has not been found under this name in the 1891 census anywhere, so far. In the 1881 census he was a Chemist Assistant in Swanwick, Derbyshire.
