Warboys Amateur Dramatics Society, or WADS for short, was founded in 1990.
Presently we have around twenty members, ages range from children to seventy plus. The one thing we share most, is our enthusiasm for putting on shows and
events to entertain the public. We do have a lot of
fun and laughter along the way.
Our main event is the Pantomime, which we put on every January. These have been
enormously popular and we invariably play to capacity audiences (oh yes we do!).
On other occasions, as a summer event, we've done revues and concert parties.
Like any theatre, it's not just the acting, dancing and singing that make up a
show. There are so many practical things to do as well such as lighting, sound,
scenery, prop making, make-up, back stage staff, front of house etc. So, even if
treading the boards isn't your thing we still need any technical, craft or
organisational skills you may have - these are just as important.
We meet at Warboys CP School. You will be made most welcome,
if you would like to just drop in on one of those evenings. Look forward to seeing you.
